鷺をモチーフに制作を進めようとしていたあの日、夜半を過ぎたころだっただろうか。ふいに、私の中に一羽の白い鷺が、静かにそして厳かに舞い降りてきたのであった。まるで、神のように。

Since ancient times, the heron has been revered in Japan as a messenger of the gods.
Regarded as an auspicious bird that carries good tidings from the heavens, it appears throughout myths and legends across the country.
It was on a night when I had been considering a work based on the heron as a motif—perhaps sometime after midnight.
Suddenly, a single white heron descended into my mind, quietly and solemnly.
As though it were a god itself.
