解説：日本庭園において手洗いの水が地面に染みると、地中に埋められた水琴窟の中に水滴が落ち、キンと澄んだ音を微かに響かせる。通常はこれを竹筒を地面に挿すなどして耳を当てて聴くが、谷口晋也は卓上型の水琴窟を１０年前から制作している。

Comment : In a traditional Japanese garden, when water used for rinsing the hands seeps into the ground, droplets fall into a Suikinkutsu buried beneath the earth, producing a faint, crystal-clear sound.
Traditionally, this sound is heard by placing a bamboo tube into the ground and listening through it.
For the past ten years, TANIGUCHI Shinya has been creating tabletop Suikinkutsu.
