古代メソポタミア文明に起源を持つパート・ド・ヴェール（Pâte de verre ：Paste of Glass）はかつて「幻の技法」と呼ばれた。
吹きガラスとは異なり、石膏型にガラスの粒や粉を充填し、型ごと焼成する事で、微細な気泡が現出し美しく柔らかな表情を見せる。
吉田延泰はこの技法をベースに、陶芸など異素材の技術を組み合わせる事で、独自の器やオブジェを制作している。

吉田の生家は清涼飲料水、ラムネやアップル（神戸市長田区の地ジュース）の卸業であった。
幼少期の原風景と、地域と時を巡る循環の象徴として、今なおオブジェ作品のアイデアの根源であり続けている。 
当時使われていた倉庫は現在、「蒼庫」としてアーティストと職人の協働と海外との交流の場として、吉田自身がキュレーションを行なっている。

人の時間軸を越えて遺るガラスへ。
想いの記録（レコード）と記憶（メモリー）を載せて、吉田延泰のガラスの舟は時を渡る。
その想像の行先が、穏やかな世界であって欲しいと祈りながら。


Originating in ancient Mesopotamia, pâte de verre (literally “paste of glass”) was once known as a “lost technique.”
Unlike glassblowing, it involves filling a plaster mold with granulated or powdered glass and firing it as a whole, allowing fine air bubbles to emerge and giving the surface a soft, luminous texture.
Based on this technique, YOSHIDA Nobuyasu  creates distinctive vessels and objects by incorporating methods from other materials, including ceramics.
Yoshida was born into a family business that wholesaled soft drinks—ramune and locally loved apple soda in Nagata, Kobe.
The landscapes of his childhood, along with the cycles of place and time they embody, continue to serve as a wellspring of ideas for his object-based works.
The warehouse once used for the family business has since been transformed into “Soko,” a space curated by Yoshida himself, where artists and craftsmens collaborate and engage in international exchange.
Glass endures beyond the span of a human lifetime.
Carrying records of feeling and memories of thought, YOSHIDA’s glass ships journey across time.
With the hope that the destinations of these imagined voyages may be gentle and serene.
