燻る焦土から

鳳凰が羽ばたき

新たな世界が

誕生する。


From the smoldering scorched earth,
a phoenix takes flight,
and a new world is born.

限り無く薄い殻のように
質量は０に近く
激しく焼け焦げた痕跡は
無限大の熱量を示す
鳳凰の卵は禁断の味。

極薄・軽量の磁器で世界を驚かせる陶芸家、松本治幸による『鳳凰ノ卵』（2024）に続く二度目の個展。
よりカロリーを高く、皮膜は薄く。
まるでエネルギーの質量のみが存在するかのような、独自の世界観は他の追随を決して許さない。
極細の嘴から注がれ、薄張ガラスのごとき盃で呑む酒は至福の一杯。
抹茶をそのまま持つかのごとき碗は、液体の温度以上に激しい焼成の痕跡を手に伝える。
全ては炎の生み出す景色であり、鳳凰の産み落とした卵である。

Like an infinitely thin shell
Mass is close to zero
The intensely scorched traces
Showing an infinite amount of calories
Burnt to a crimson flame all over
laid with tears

It is an egg of the Phoenix
It is a forbidden taste

Following Egg of the Phoenix (2024), ceramic artist MATSUMOTO Haruyuki presents his second solo exhibition,
continuing to astonish with porcelain works of extreme thinness and lightness.
With even greater intensity, ever thinner skins.
His singular vision evokes a world in which only the mass of energy seems to exist, allowing no equal.
From an exquisitely slender spout, sake is poured,
and sipped from cups as delicate as blown glass—an experience of pure bliss.
A tea bowl, held as though cradling liquid itself, transmits to the hand the fierce traces of firing, surpassing even the heat of its contents.
All are landscapes born of flame, 
and also eggs laid by the phoenix.
