　昨年から自然に触れ空を見上げる機会がとても増え、日々コロナ禍での人間同士の対立に辟易すると共に美しく際限ない空の大きさに圧倒されその下の人間の寄る辺ない小ささを感じるようになりました。今私が祈りたくなる対象、それは大自然＝大空の美しさです。

　このシリーズは使用した木の種類、産地、樹齢をタイトルにしてその木が見てきたであろう夕焼けまたは朝焼けを想像して描いています。今回は２つの木がそれぞれの場所から見た同じ日の朝焼けをイメージしました。異なる環境と場所を超越する普遍的な色彩とそれに対峙するそれぞれの限定的な情景を表現しました。

Since last year, I have had more and more opportunities to feel nature and look up at the sky. While I am fed up with the daily conflicts between humans under COVID-19, I am also overwhelmed by the beauty and boundless size of the sky, and feel the helpless smallness of the humans underneath it. The object that makes me want to pray now is the beauty of Mother Nature = the sky.

In this series of works, I give them titles according to the kind of tree used, its place of origin, and its age, and imagine the sunset or morning glow that the trees would have seen. In this case, I imagined the morning glow of the same day seen by the two trees from their respective locations. I expressed the universal colors that transcend different environments and locations, and each limited scene that confronts them.
